Needed: Letter Writers

As part of the Mission to Honor Veterans experience, we want all of our veterans to understand and KNOW they are loved, not just by fellow veterans, but by the citizens they came home to. We want to give everyone, adults and children, the opportunity to tell a veteran thank you for their service and sacrifice. At the end of the program, every veteran is given a mailbag loaded with letters from you and everyone you know.

Lead the way by inviting your family and friends to write letters too! Talk to your child’s teacher and ask their classrooms to write letters. Throw a letter writing party. When you’re done, all you have to do is drop them all off at the address below by October 3rd.

It’s that simple, and yet, it’s one of the most impactful things we can do for someone we care for and love. Tell them how you feel. If you feel inclined, you can draw them a picture, write them a poem. This year, don’t hold back. Let’s really let our veterans know how much they are loved and welcome them home. Again.
