Mountain Democrat Praises Mission to Honor Veterans Program

Friday, October 18th is the day and everything is coming together! We’re very excited to be serving and honoring our veterans this year. The Mission to Honor Veterans committee has been working endlessly and we’re determined to make this event memorable.
We hope all of our veterans feel the same way once they’ve experienced what we have in store for them.
Here are a few high points our honored veterans will experience
- Our oldest veteran will be the recipient of an American flag flown over the capitol of our nation
- Assemblyman Joe Patterson, AD05 will speak to and honor our veterans
- Our veterans will enjoy a fabulous lunch and dessert presented by Gold River
- Handwritten letters from children and adults from our communities
Our event is not a vendor or marketing event. We exist to honor our veterans at no cost. Our sponsors help us cover the cost of the entire event. Our veterans risked their lives to protect the liberty and freedoms that this country was founded on. We can see no better way than to let them know that we appreciate them and are aware of the sacrifices they made then, and in some cases, are still experiencing today.
